Have your Say

MegephoneSECOND QUESTIONNAIRE SEPTEMBER 2008 NOW CLOSED.  THE TRIAL CONTINUES

The junction of the B3128 joining the A370 Long Ashton Bypass

We are now into the second trial of the proposed realignment of the A370 and the B3128. Long Ashton Parish Council is against the realignment for the following reasons:

  1. That it will cause unacceptable delays to traffic joining the A370
  2. That the realignment could result in serious accidents at this junction.

Long Ashton Parish Council has suggested to North Somerset that the main cause of the minor accidents at this junction is caused be the excessive speed of traffic on the A370, and the misjudgement of that speed by those joining the A370.

We have proposed that the junction should be returned to its original alignment and that effective measures be taken to ensure that the speed of vehicles on the A370 is brought down to the present limit of 40mph, which is often well in excess of 40mph. We have reserved judgment on the extension of the bus lane.

We would be most grateful if you would take the time to complete this short questionnaire

We shall make the results known to North Somerset Council.
