I served as Chairman of the Parish Council for three years, and Chairman of North Somerset Council in the year 2015/16. I sit on all committees, and am a trustee of the Community Association and Vice Chairman.

I have before, and will continue to defend our Parish against massive and inappropriate development such as currently proposed by Taylor Wimpey. It is potentially the biggest threat to our community for many years.

I have lived in the heart of village for nine years with my family. I'm a Deputy Headteacher of a Primary School in Bristol. Both of my girls attend Birdwell School and Nursery. Also myself and my wife enjoy taking an active part in village life. My wife helps run the PTA at Birdwell and I organise the Saturdads play group at Hebron Church. We enjoy attending as many local events and clubs as time permits as a family. I'd like to offer my energy and expertise to help make the village of Long Ashton an even better place to live. Initially, I’m looking forward to supporting the library and skatepark working groups.
