In 2009 the Parish Council was successfully reaccredited as a Quality Council.

In 2004 Long Ashton was the first parish council in the district of North Somerset to be awarded the quality council status.  It means that it proved to an independent panel, appointed by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) that it is a well managed, vibrant and committed council and now it can use this distinctive logo.

The certificate was presented to the then Chairman, Ms Hardingham, and Clerk on
Activities Day.

The Quality Council scheme has now been replaced and the Parish Council is now in the process of applying for the foundation award of the successor scheme - The Local Council Award Scheme.
