The Parish Council is recruiting to fill two part time vacancies at present.  An Assistant Clerk (8 -12 hours a week) and a Village Orderly (5 hours a week).  For details see below.

The Parish Council is looking to recruit an

Assistant Clerk

from late March or as soon as possible thereafter.

The role involves taking minutes of Council and Committee meetings, carrying out other administrative tasks and providing some holiday/sickness cover for the Clerk.

 To do the job well you should have experience of minute taking, be confident in using Microsoft Office© and similar software and must be able to work Monday evenings.

 The post is part time (8 -12 hours a week, exact hours to be agreed), paid on the nationally agreed scale starting at £10.099 per hour (£19,430 full time equivalent)

 Village Orderly

Want to keep fit but don’t want to pay gym fees and quite like to get paid for doing it?

Due to the resignation of one of our orderlies, Long Ashton Parish Council needs to recruit a part time

Village Orderly

to keep Long Ashton and Leigh Woods looking clean and tidy.

Duties include picking up litter, general tidying, clearing litter bins, footpath clearing, playground checks (training provided), handyperson type duties and similar work around the Parish.

Hours are flexible, with an average of five a week, this is a great job for fitting around other commitments and you will be doing a job that has a visible impact on community wellbeing.

Pay is £8.45 an hour
